Phage summer school at Eliava took place in September 2025. Participation was free of charge and students of Georgian universities were welcome to express their interest by filling in the following form.
The summer school topics are:
Phage history and application
Scientific writing and presenting
Bacterial Biofilms
Bioinformatics workshop
In a hands-on laboratory course participants learned how to:
Cultivate phages and bacteria
Determine phage titer
Asses bacterial susceptibility towards antibiotics and phages
In addition, students observed how phages and bacteria are visualized with help of electron microscopy.

Bioinformatics training took place on day 4 of the ASCLEPIUS summer school.
