ASCLEPIUS Outreach Activity during II Science Week of Ponte de Lima

On 27 November 2025, Luciana Meneses, a researcher from the University of Minho, carried out an outreach activity within the framework of the ASCLEPIUS project during the II Science Week of Ponte de Lima, held in northern Portugal.

The activity included a presentation on bacteriophages, phage therapy, and the objectives of the ASCLEPIUS project, followed by an interactive demonstration for high school students. Participants explored bacterial cultures, phage plaques, and products used in phage therapy, including phage cocktails and phage pastilles provided by the Eliava Institute.

This initiative contributed to promoting scientific literacy and increasing awareness of phage therapy among young audiences.
