ASCLEPIUS Outreach Visit to the Caucasus French School
As part of the ASCLEPIUS project’s outreach activities, a researcher from the G. Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology, and Virology visited the Caucasus French School to introduce students to the world of bacteriophages and phage research.
During the visit, students learned about the scientific work of the Eliava Institute, current research in phage therapy, and the historical foundations of the field. The presentation highlighted the contributions of George Eliava and Félix d’Hérelle, a French scientist and one of the pioneers of bacteriophage research, whose collaboration played a key role in the development of phage science.
The visit aimed to encourage scientific curiosity and promote interest in microbiology, research, and innovation among school students.
